JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — A woman is in critical condition after being hit by an SUV at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and 3rd Street, the Jacksonville Beach Police Department said.
The JBPD says the accident happened shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday.
All northbound traffic between 1st Avenue South and 1st Avenue North was rerouted for several hours.
The woman was transported to Memorial Hospital. Police say the driver of the vehicle has been cooperating and no charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
