Florida’s minimum wage will be getting a boost.
That’s as the Associated Press projects that Florida voters have approved Constitutional Amendment 2, which will gradually raise the state’s minimum wage to $15 an hour by the end of September 2026. After that point, in September 2027, future minimum wage increases would be adjusted annually for inflation.
Currently, the state’s minimum wage is $8.56 an hour, but with the passage of this amendment the wage will up to $10 an hour effective September 30th, 2021.
Meanwhile, the AP says Florida voters rejected a different amendment that would have opened state primaries to voters of all parties.
