Some rockers just don’t know when to call it quits—and that’s a beautiful thing. Here’s a look at the oldest musicians you can see on tour this summer. Surprisingly, Keith Richards isn’t the oldest.
Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, and Mike Love of the Beach Boys are each 83 years old.
Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys is 81.
Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are both 80, with Mick being a few months older. Also 80 are Mickey Hart from Dead & Company, Steve Miller, and Roger Daltrey.
Chicago’s Robert Lamm is 79, as are Rod Stewart and former Yes singer Jon Anderson.
Several 78-year-olds are still performing, including Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan and bassist Roger Glover, John Fogerty, Neil Young, and Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour.
Daryl Hall and Yes guitarist Steve Howe are 77. Ron Wood will turn 77 this weekend.
The 76-year-olds on tour include Sammy Hagar, Carlos Santana, Bob Weir, ELO’s Jeff Lynne, Donald Fagen from Steely Dan, Alice Cooper, Steven Tyler, Steve Winwood, and John Oates. Stevie Nicks just celebrated her 76th birthday a few days ago.
Robert Plant is 75, along with Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice, Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons of the Doobie Brothers, Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick, and Billy Joel.
