We just hit October, and some cities are already skipping straight past spooky season. Case in point: Pittsburgh just put up its downtown Christmas tree β more than TWO MONTHS before Christmas. ππ³
Yep, the giant tree is already standing tall in the middle of downtownβ¦ while people are still buying fake cobwebs and candy corn. π¬π»
And honestly? Even the kids think itβs too soon. A local news station interviewed a boy named Marcus Woodruff, who said, βIβm really excited because weβre going to skateβ¦ but I gotta say, they should have waited for Halloween first.β ππ Give that kid a platform β he speaks for the people!
Apparently, thereβs a reason behind the madness. The tree has to go up before the city sets up the ice rink underneath it, and that process takes about a month. So technically, itβs all about timingβ¦ not tinsel fever.
Still, if youβre in Pittsburgh and you see Santa before youβve even carved your pumpkin β donβt worry, youβre not losing it. The holidays just came early this year. π πΈοΈ
