Rich people take you to the garage to show off the luxury sports car they only drive on perfect weekends. Middle-class people take you to the garage to show off the second refrigerator they got on sale — and explain exactly how much they saved.

A new survey asked Americans to rank today’s biggest modern status symbols, and chances are you’ve got at least one of them. If you’ve got several? Congratulations… you may have officially “made it.”

Topping the list: high-end watches, luxury handbags, and always having the newest iPhone.

But the real flexes these days are all about comfort at home. Think at-home saunas, hot tubs, plunge pools, walk-in closets, and backyards with full outdoor kitchens.

Designer shoes, designer clothes, and electric vehicles also cracked the Top 10.

And just missing the cut? Outdoor pizza ovens, fancy wine fridges, robot vacuum cleaners, expensive exercise bikes, and displaying actual art in your house — especially modern art.

Apparently, nothing says success in 2026 like a robot cleaning your floors while you make pizza in the backyard.
