It’s time to get your boo on

It’s October! Which means you officially have 30 days to figure out your Halloween costume.

And if you want to have your finger on the pulse of what’s happening right now, you can take some inspiration from pop culture.

Here are some of the costumes expected to be popular this year:

  1. Dress as your favorite Greek god or goddess from The Odyssey — Zeus, Athena, Aphrodite... or go with Odysseus and tell everyone you’re just trying to find your way home.
  2. Freaky Nikki from Obsession — because apparently being normal is no longer an option.
  3. The bushes from Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show — finally, a costume where hiding in the background is the whole point.
  4. Taylor Swift and her friends in those coordinating shirts from the Knicks game — including the famous blue-and-orange “Stevie Knicks” shirt.
  5. The hazmat-suit operatives from Backrooms — basically, dress like you’re about to tell everyone, “Don’t touch anything.”
  6. Ilya and Shane from Heated Rivalry
  7. Doctors from The Pitt — perfect if you want to spend Halloween answering everyone’s medical questions.
  8. Dolly Parton — a costume that works at Halloween AND the county fair.
  9. Olivia Rodrigo from the “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” cover
  10. Harry Styles from the “Dance No More” video
  11. HUNTR/X from KPop Demon Hunters
  12. Patricia from Widow’s Bay
  13. Charli XCX
  14. Pitbull — Mr. Worldwide is apparently going to be Mr. Everywhere this Halloween.
  15. Sabrina Carpenter
  16. Ryland Grace from Project Hail Mary
  17. Spider-Man — because some traditions just refuse to die.
  18. Michael Jackson — because Thriller never really goes out of style.

So you’ve got 30 days. Plenty of time.

Which means you’ll probably wait until October 30th, panic-buy something at Spirit Halloween and call it a “concept.”
