Foreigner has an upcoming greatest hits collection on the way and the band has announced they found an unreleased song from 1996 featuring original vocalist Lou Gramm.

In an interview with Billboard, Mick Jones talked about being inspired by the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame induction scheduled to take place in October. Jones worked on the track earlier this year adding instrumentation that was still needed.

There are a number of songs that Lou Gramm and I wrote together that have never seen the light of day. ‘Turning Back the Time’ was co-written with Marti Frederiksen. Marti and I recently revisited and reworked the song. Because of the time that had passed we were able to go back to it with a fresh perspective.”

The band will be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame on October 19th, while the new Greatest Hits album is slated to release on October 4th.
