Researchers think antioxidants in coffee may help offset the negative impact of spending hours sitting at a computer.

Scientists found workers who spend at least six hours a day at their desks are a third less likely to die prematurely if they drink two to three cups a day than colleagues who drink none.A lack of movement triggers widespread inflammation in our organs and tissues, causing damage that can be fatal.

The antioxidants in coffee “can reduce mortality from chronic diseases” due to their “powerful properties.”
