If you’re looking for an excuse to celebrate Halloween at the movie theater, AMC has you covered.
AMC Theatres is teaming up with horror outlet Bloody Disgusting and horror-metal band Ice Nine Kills for a monthlong “Welcome to Horrorwood” series as part of AMC’s Thrills & Chills lineup.
The series will bring five popular horror films back to the big screen at approximately 300 AMC locations across the U.S. throughout October.
The lineup includes:
- October 2 & 6: Hostel (2005)
- October 9 & 13: Friday the 13th (1980)
- October 16 & 20: American Psycho (2000)
- October 23 & 27: Pet Sematary (1989)
- October 30 & 31: The Crow (1994)
The screenings will take place on Friday and Tuesday nights, with showtimes beginning at 8 p.m. local time.
But there’s an extra treat for Ice Nine Kills fans. Each movie will feature a custom introduction from frontman Spencer Charnas, followed by the band’s music video inspired by that particular film. The series is inspired by Ice Nine Kills’ The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood albums.
The series will wrap up Halloween weekend with The Crow, which will screen on both Friday, October 30, and Halloween night, Saturday, October 31.
So whether you’re a longtime horror fan or just looking for a spooky night out this October, AMC is giving you a chance to experience some familiar nightmares on the big screen again.
