A new poll from Ferrero Candies found that 54% of adults think we should have our own Halloween night โ no trick-or-treating, no bedtime tantrums, just spooky fun for the grown-ups. ๐งโโ๏ธ๐น
And yes... the internetโs calling it โAdultoween.โ (Still a weird name, but weโll allow it. ๐)
Hereโs what else the survey found:
๐ป Halloween isnโt just for kids anymore. 62% of people say itโs as much for adults as it is for children โ and that jumps to 71% among parents. ๐งโโ๏ธ
๐ซ Parents are certified candy thieves. Two-thirds admit they raid their kidsโ candy stash starting November 1st. ๐ 58% even snack WHILE trick-or-treating. (No shame!)
๐ฌ Even child-free adults are stocking up. 64% of Americans buy candy even if they donโt expect trick-or-treaters. And 71% of parents admit to buying โextraโ candy for themselves. ๐
๐ซ The good stuff goes first. 76% say theyโll always go for full-sized candy bars ๐ซ, 72% prefer familiar flavors, and 67% crave nostalgic favorites from childhood.
๐ Men are surprisingly intense about candy. 52% of men splurge on premium treats to make sure theyโre a โgood candy house,โ compared to 41% of women. And yes โ 21% of men will judge you if your candy game is weak. ๐โโ๏ธ
๐ธ๏ธ Halloween hits that nostalgia button. 60% say they celebrate because it reminds them of childhood โ and for parents, that number jumps to 68%.
๐ Americans love Halloween โ like, a lot. 47% said itโs their favorite holiday! (Yes, even more than Christmas or Thanksgiving. ๐ฑ)
So maybe itโs time to make Adultoween happen โ a spooky night just for the grown-ups. ๐๐ธNowโฆ whoโs bringing the pumpkin spice jello shots? ๐๐
