VICKSBURG, Miss. — A Mississippi man who was convicted for his part in a shooting nearly four years ago was arrested Monday after he appeared in a rap video holding weapons, authorities said.
Deldrick Harper, 23, of Vicksburg, was charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, The Vicksburg Post reported.
The videos were posted on social media last month, according to WAPT.
Harper was one of five people indicted in August 2017 for a drive-by shooting that occurred six months earlier in Vicksburg, the Post reported. The victim, who was shot in the leg, recovered from his injury, the newspaper reported.
Harper was charged with possession of a stolen firearm and as an accessory after the fact, according to the Post. Harper was accused of trying to get rid of the .40 caliber Glock handgun that police believed was used in the shooting.
During a court hearing Monday, Harper received a $30,000 bond, WJTV reported. The case was bound over to a Warren County grand jury, the television station reported.
