šŸ’Couples Are Letting Brands Pay for Their Weddings — But There’s a Catch

Would you let the Kool-Aid Man officiate your wedding if it meant you didn’t have to pay for it? Because apparently... a lot of people would.

A new survey says 61% of Americans would consider a brand-sponsored wedding — if the brand covered at least half the cost. Basically, if Walmart or Doritos wanted to chip in $20K toward your big day, most people are saying: ā€œWhere do I sign?ā€

Only 32% said they’d refuse any kind of commercialization at their ceremony. But for those open to the idea… things get wild:

  • 58% would serve a brand-inspired cocktail šŸø
  • 57% would put logos on tables, signage, and invites
  • 54% would let brands hand out samples at the reception
  • 33% would let a mascot attend 🐮
  • 20% would let the mascot officiate (Imagine Ronald McDonald saying, ā€œYou may now kiss the brideā€)
  • 18% would even mention the brand in their vows
  • 17% would slap the logo right on the wedding dress

The study (from Talker Research) also found that men were more likely than women to say yes to the logo-on-the-dress idea.

Sure, it might sound crazy — but with weddings getting more expensive, a ā€œSponsored by T-Mobileā€ banner might just be the new flower wall. Just be ready for that #Ad tag on your wedding photos.
