Andrew Abdullah went to the 5th Precinct on Tuesday afternoon to surrender to authorities, WNBC reported.

Abdullah was wanted on murder charges in the death of Daniel Enriquez, 48, who was shot Sunday when he was on his way to brunch, WNBC reported.

Witnesses said the accused shooter paced back and forth on the Q train’s last car before pulling out the gun and firing, WNBC reported. Enriquez was shot in the torso at close range and was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Police said Abdullah gave the gun allegedly used in the shooting to a homeless man as he left the Canal Street station. The homeless man then sold the gun to another person for $10. That person told police about the weapon, WABC reported.

The shooting on Sunday was the latest in a series of violence on the New York City subway this year. Six weeks ago, a gunman opened fire on a train in Brooklyn during rush hour. In that case, multiple people were hurt, The New York Times reported.

Michelle Go died in January when she was shoved onto the tracks at the Times Square station, the Times reported.
