The Chrisleys, well known for their reality TV series “Chrisley Knows Best” were convicted of conspiring to defraud banks and the IRS out of millions of dollars, WSB-TV reported. Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in prison and Julie Chrisley was sentenced to seven years in prison. Both reported for their sentences on Jan. 17.

In her podcast, Savannah Chrisley said her parents are OK and that Todd Chrisley has started working a job in the prison’s chapel, E! News reported.

“Never in a million years did I think I would be talking about both of my parents, one of my parents, let alone both of them, entering into a federal prison,” Savannah Chrisley said in the podcast. “There’s been a lot of tears shed, a lot of anger, a lot of screaming, a lot of just completely being broken to my core. But I’ve had to figure out how to rebuild, and I feel like we’re getting there. At least a little bit.”

Julie Chrisley is also doing well, and has been going to church and playing spades, WSB-TV reported.

Savannah Chrisley has custody of her younger siblings, Grayson and Chloe, while her parents serve their sentences.

“I’m helping to guide Chloe and Grayson through this process, I’m having to guide them through this process as I’m trying to guide myself through this process, which is very, very difficult.”

In the podcast, Savannah Chrisley said that Grayson had a breakdown and that Chloe has been dealing with anger because of their parents’ incarceration.

Savannah Chrisley shared a recent email from her father on the podcast which offered advice on caring for her siblings. “I want you to give yourself some grace,” she read. “Fall in love with the real Savannah, the one I raised that radiates a room with her kindness and compassion, not the one the world wants to see.”
